I'm a pacifist, so why don't I support the Campaign to Stop Killer Robots?

When technology falls into the wrong hands, the future looks brutal. Scientists are campaigning for a ban on autonomous weapon development, for fear that soon anyone with internet access will be able to build these lethal machines. But what would a pacifist have to say about killer robots? Subbarao Kambhampati writing in The Guardian explains why he doesn’t support the campaign to stop killer robots, and how this opinion is compatible with his pacifist beliefs.
